Dead Mike and his assistant, Shadow, will show an eclectic mix of pop tab wearables—from bracelets to corsets. The collection includes the use of can tabs varying in color and size from soda or energy drink cans to tabs from larger containers, such as cat/dog food tins and soup cans. This session will focus on the “spine technique,” which is the core component used to hold together many items (including the corset, belt-pouches, bracelets, and more complex bracers). After Dead Mike demonstrates this technique, those interested will each have an opportunity to make a simple pop tab bracelet with materials provided.
